What is the Art Garden Network?
The Art Garden Network is a place where plants, people, and other species live and work alongside each other. It is built through a framework of Black and Indigenous ecological knowledge. From this, the Art Garden becomes a model for imagining design and technology infrastructure after climate breakdown in a world beyond profit.
Here, art, ecology, architecture, and technology become part of a generative ecosystem we collectively tend to. This world we imagine is built from soil, pigments, fibers, and living matter, not metal or plastic. It is not a sterile gallery of white walls.
Here, technology shifts away from an extractive process to become a tool for symbiotic relations. Buildings bend and shift like trees, hold heat, and change with weather. Light comes from microbes that react to touch. Fibers stretch in response to moisture. Seeds hold memories of harsh seasons. The Art Garden is not a gallery to look at, it is a place where people live, cook, heal, grieve, and make things from what the land offers.
